Rules

  • Sponsors may enter the contest; however, they are not eligible to win any of the prizes that they sponsored.
  • Winners will be drawn randomly through random.org. Each ticket gained by each participant is assigned a number and then numbers will be chosen at random.org, with the corresponding emtrant of the matching number being awarded a prize.
  • Prizes will be drawn by value in descending order. (First drawn receives prize of most value, second drawn receives prize of second most value etc)
  • One prize per winner.
  • Entries will close at 9:00pm Perth, Western Australian time on Wednesday 24th December 2008. Winners will be drawn and announced on this blog by 26th December 2008.

IronBlogger’s Holding a Huge Contest – $1,000 Of Prizes

I headed over to IronBlogger today to catch up on some articles I have recently missed reading, and saw the first post was titled “IronBlogger’s First Contest Ever $1000+ Prizes“. I looked at the prizes, and am sure I want to win some (I haven’t won a contest in years). There are prizes such as licences of the Revolution theme and the SuperPress theme, as well as heaps of banner advertising, reviews, and 1 on 1 consultations with big bloggers like Jim from TheNetFool, Matt from MoneyBites and Jason from TheUniversityKid. There are also a few other small things such as Ebooks and videos to be won as well.

I personally am aiming to win a theme for this blog or consultation time with some of the big bloggers, but the great thing about this contest is that I have a good shot of winning. There is about 40 different prizes to be won and each person can only win one prize, so I think that if I have as many entries as I can I should be able to win something.

What You Have To Do To Win

There are 6 ways that you can enter, and you can choose to do all (135 points) or one (as small as 5 points).

  • Blog about the contest (like what I’m doing. I told you, I want to win something). The post must link back to the competition and be a minimum or 300 words. (50 points)
  • Put his banner up on your website for a minimum of 2 weeks. This is a link to the banner. (30 points)
  • Subscribe to his RSS feed by email  – This can be found on his post. (30 points)
  • Stumble or Digg the post I have given you a link to. (Not sure whether this is 15 points each or 15 points for both)
  • Add him on Twitter (5 points) – You can add me on Twitter if you want.
  • Drop him a comment on his blog, but don’t spam. (5 points)

As I said, I want to win, so I am going to be doing all of the above for maximum points. :)

Okay, today’s post is short and sweet (and probably still beneficial to you).

Alright guys, I came home feeling generous and decided that I would hold a contest in which you guys can score some free stuff from me.

First of all, you might have noticed the top commentator widget I have recently installed on the left sidebar. I’ve done this to encourage a few more comments on this blog.

  • Top Commentator at the end of this month will receive a free review of the website that they comment with (no adult or illegal accepted) – so get commenting.

How To Win

Okay, there are two ways in which you can gain entries for the draw.

  1. This is required. Sign up by email to RSS but using the subscription form in the right sidebar. Use an email that you will regularly check, so that you will know if you have won (and so that you get all of my awesome content :) ) – This will gain you 1 entry into the draw.
  2. If you want extra entries (4 extra entries) you can post a blog post about this contest on your blog with a link to this page.

If you do choose to do option 2 as well as option 1, please leave a comment with the first 8 characters of the email address you subscribed with and a link to the blog post you wrote about this contest.

The two packages that you can win are separate, and therefore there will be two winners selected.
