Jim “Jimmy” Morris Tampa Bay Devil Rays

By Simon Under Baseball

Jim “Jimmy” Morris has a past as a professional baseball player in Major League Baseball, playing for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in his short but sweet career.

But Jim Morris was not just a regular American baseball player, debuting in the major league at the ripe age of 35 years, on September 18, 1999, with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Born on January 19, 1964, in Texas, Jim Morris was signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays when they discovered his strong pitching arm that allowed him to pitch at 98 MPH.

His short 21 game career came to an end with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays a year later when he undertook shoulder surgery.
