GreatDomains Premium Domain Names Auction News

By Simon Under Domain Name News

Well, the latest Premium Domain Auction Event at GreatDomains started earlier today and I must say, even though it is early days yet, that the domain market is looking extremely slow. Bidders are staying away from the domains with high reserves and going trying to pick up a bargain on the domains without reserves.

A few months back I would have had no doubt that color.com would have sold in well over an excess of $1,000,000 but I don’t think it will at present. I think that villas.com will go past its reserve price and sell as travel and real estate names are about the only ones performing well at the moment.

The domain name I really want to watch is revolves.com as a few months back it was on auction at Sedo and sold for low $xxx and was thinking of buying it so I wish to see whether I should have or not.

I think orderpizza.com is asking a bit too much, with a reserve of $10,000 – $24,999, but I quite like the domain 5g.net for an investment. We have already experienced 3g, we will soon get to the fifth generation.

Tell me your opinions on the names and domain market. Will color.com get to 7 figures?
