Outdoor Nativity Scenes
Yes, Christmas time is just around the corner. In fact, it’s only a few days away, so I feel a bit behind in getting this post up. Putting up outdoor nativity scenes is a great way to celebrate this Christmas spirit, and is a great activity for the family or community or whoever is constructing it. If you have never put one up before, constructing an outdoor nativity scene could be the start of a new tradition that will last for many years to come, one that all family members will look forward to each and every year.
The problem however with outdoor nativity scenes as compared to indoor nativity scenes is that they are so much more exposed to the elements, of wind, rain, snow etc. However, the way around this is simply to provide protection from these, making use of things such as shelters.
Buying outdoor nativity scenes can be quite expensive, so if you don’t have the money to buy the premade figures, have a go at making your own. It will add more to the new tradition and provide some artistic time for the family or whoever is building the pieces. The final result can look just as good as a bought outdoor nativity scene and you will be so much more proud of it knowing that you made it with your bare hands.
Merry Christmas.
