Daylight Savings Time Schedule 2009, When Does Time Change?
It’s Spring time in the United States Of America again and so comes with it daylight savings. Love it or hate it, daylight savings does come into effect as from today. Ever since the changes in 2007, daylight savings comes into effect on the second Sunday of March each year and ends on the first Sunday in November.
Now you may be asking… I know time changes today, but what time does time change? Time officially changes at 2am local time, so at that time put your clocks forward one hour (yes, you will unfortunately lose one hour of sleep, but you’ll gain it back later). By changing your clocks, you can avoid the embarrassment of missed appointments and meetings (been there done that).
If you are looking for a full schedule of Daylight Saving dates and times for this year and the next few years, GreenwichMeantime.com have a great table and lots more information about Daylight Savings Time.

So, if you are looking to spend a bit on the President’s Day sales this year, you might just have to pay with in another form such as cash. You can still pick up some bargains though.
Once again, I wish you a Happy President’s Day 2009.
When Is President’s Day 2009
President’s Day 2009 takes place on Monday, 16th February 2009. This is because President’s Day is always celebrated on the third Monday in February.

Chinese New Year Animals
First off all, I would like to wish everyone reading this a happy Chinese New Year and wish them well for the coming year.
The Chinese Zodiac consists of 12 animals, being: the rat, the ox, the tiger, the rabbit, the dragon, the snake, the horse, the sheep, the monkey, the rooster, the dog, and the pig.
Each year, it is the year of a new animal, and those born in a certain year are said to have the traits of that animal. For example, if you were born in the year of the dog, you would possess the trait of loyalty and friendship.
The 2009 Chinese year is the year of the ox, and those born in the year of the ox are believed to be determined and hard working.

Solar Eclipse January 26 2009
Tonight, on the night of Monday 26th January 2009, a solar eclipse will be observable in the southern hemisphere. This will be the first solar eclipse of 2009.
A solar eclipse is a phenomenal event in which the moon goes between our earth and the Sun, making the Sun look hidden. They occur when a new moon comes about, however, solar eclipses do not occur at every new moon, just a few each year.
In each solar eclipse, a shadow is formed over part of the earth the earth, with the strength varying by location. This shadow is divided into two parts, the penumbra, which is the weaker shadow, and the umbra, which is the strong and dark shadow.
Be on the lookout for the solar eclipse tonight, however, do not look directly at it with your naked eye as you can damage your eye.
